Not your normal granny square! These tiles aim to teach you a variety of crochet techniques, while giving you a fun square that can be used in whatever project you desire. Blankets, cushion covers, or as a pop of texture in a jumper, it’s completely your choice what you create.
These squares make use of the crochet Popcorn stitch for the bobbly flowers, and play with using different heights of stitches to work the shaping from circle to square.
This level 3 workshop is suitable for anyone who is confident with their Treble Crochet stitches. Experience with pattern reading is a plus, but will be taught in the class.
You will need to bring along your own yarn and appropriate hook for this workshop. Yarn thickness does not matter for learning the skills in this workshop. Choose a yarn that you are comfortable working with, and can easily identify your stitches. Fluffy or textured yarns will make it harder to see your stitches as you’re working them. This pattern can be worked in either a single colour, or with different colours used for the central and outer parts of the squares.
